Craig Ferguson and Josh Robert Thompson appeared on a panel Thursday at “Nerd HQ” at Petco Park; just part of the festivities in and around Comic-Con in San Diego this week. The panel quickly sold out, as fans packed the room to hear Craig and Josh talk about about The Late Late Show and more. All proceeds from the event went to Operation Smile.  Craig also moderated a panel about Dreamworks animation Thursday. Friday he hosts panels for Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory.

Late Show Staying in NYC
When The Tonight Show pulled up stakes and moved from Los Angeles back to New York when Jimmy Fallon took over as host, there was speculation that LA might try to woo CBS to move The Late Show west when David Letterman retires. But as the trade publication Broadcasting and Cable reports, a deal involving tax breaks and funds to renovate the Ed Sullivan Theater will keep the show in New York when Stephen Colbert assumes hosting duties in 2015.
