CNG Casting BeginsCNG Craig sl
The syndicated daytime game show Celebrity Name Game hosted by Craig Ferguson will be coming to a local television station near you (in at least 90 percent of the country at last count) this fall. But in order to have episodes ready to go, taping will get under way this summer. So far, the folks who handle the audience for the show have not posted any taping dates, but we’ll keep an eye on it. In the meantime, the show’s producers are getting ready to choose some contestants to play along with celebrities and win prizes. One tweet popped up this week:

Note: The original Tweet was in all upper case letters. We changed it here so it wouldn’t be quite so shouty. #netiquette  Thanks to the RSA’s @bgrhubarb and others for spotting the tweet. If you’re thinking about being in the audience, be ready to visit a new location: When the show begins taping, the set will not be at CBS Television City, but instead at the nearby CBS studios on Radford Avenue in Studio City, California. We’ll keep you posted.

Graduation Time
‘Tis the season for commencement exercises at universities across the country. Schools must choose who will address the new graduates to inspire them as they embark on their future lives. At George Washington University this past weekend, the administration invited Spanish American Chef José Andrés to be this year’s graduation speaker. Andrés opened his remarks by joking that he may not have been the University’s first choice, and proceeded to introduce a video taped piece, featuring several celebrities “turning down” invitations from the school’s president. Guess who was the first celebrity on the tape:
