And Then There Were Twelve
News broke Saturday out of the UK in the Telegraph and other outlets that actor Matt Smith will end his run in the British science fiction show Doctor Who at the end of 2013. Smith has portrayed doctor for the past four years. There’s no immediate word on a successor, but the audition line will be long for the successful show that has been delighting fans with eleven different actors in the title role in the past fifty years. Longtime fan Craig Ferguson, keeps a model of a TARDIS on his desk and used a full-sized version to transport himself to Scotland for a week of shows last year.
