Craig Tweets
Craig Ferguson took a long Twitter break a couple of months ago but lately has been tweeting more frequently. A couple of weeks ago, he spotted a familiar face:
Today I’m wearing my glasses that make me look a little like @gregproops. I driving on Fairfax & I SEE HIM !
He followed up with a tweet directly to the comedian:
Hey @GregProops there was guy on Fairfax today outside the post office who looked really like you. You should litigate. #doppelgänger
Craig later added:
I think the guy I saw outside the post office today actually was @GregProops. #thestarstheyrejustlikeus #theygotothepostoffice
And Proops eventually did see Craig’s tweets and responded:
@CraigyFerg I think the guy I saw outside the post office today actually was @GregProops. It was me and yes I bought stamps.
Thanks to the RSA’s @bgrhubarb for spotting the reply.
We mentioned last week that actress Betty White let it slip in a newspaper interview that Craig will be appearing on her TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland. Craig confirmed the guest gig with a tweet and a photo:
Doing a little extra work here this week. I’m still in love with Betty White. pic.twitter.com/SnRPiSz0ge
Last weekend, Craig retweeted a funny photo from a fan and joked about it:
RT @Richpo64 @CraigyFerg pic.twitter.com/Chz74OqHXq How odd. This is what I was thinking.
He also acknowledged the comedy award he’ll receive in June in Canada:
RT @BanffMedia Craig Ferguson to Receive the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award at BANFF http://bit.ly/158X3lf . Thanks Canadians. #theyresocute
Craig also drew attention to the recent Los Angeles Times article about his boss:
A lovely article about my dear friend and mentor http://touch.latimes.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-75350681/ …
More Than Tweets
When Craig isn’t tweeting, he’s quietly helping out with some of his favorite charitable causes. Last week, he visited the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. A Twitter user named @CullenDoug thanked him for being there:
@CraigyFerg Thanks for visiting CHLA today. You put smiles on my family’s faces #latelateshow
Thanks to the RSA’s @bgrhubarb for spotting the tweet.
