DVR Alert: Broadcasts of the Late Late Show may be delayed “in you region” on Wednesday and Thursday of this week, if CBS coverage of the Democratic National Convention runs long. On Wednesday, the show will begin shortly after 1:05am ET/12:05am CT. We will keep you up to date if other shows are delayed, here and on our Twitter feed.

Remembering MCD

New York’s Newsday reported on Craig Ferguson‘s tribute on Tuesday’s show to Michael Clarke Duncan, and the Cumbernauld News from Craig’s hometown had a story, noting that Duncan was part of the Late Late Show’s Scotland trip back in March.

Haggis Chips
The RSA’s Hot Sauce Kim checked with the Things Celtic store in Austin, Texas, to see if they sold the Angry Scotsman Chewing Gum we mentioned in a post last week.  And while they did not, she tells us they have recently ordered “haggis flavored potato chips” from their Scottish supplier, if anyone is interested.  They sound delicious!

No Larry Abroad

We have been alerted by several skellies that the hulu.com video of Larry King’s interview with Craig is not visible outside of the United States. We did not realize they had set geographic restrictions on the video but if we are made aware of a version of the video visible elsewhere, we will pass it along here on the website.

UStream Slips
As reported on CNN.com, the folks at UStream.com are apologizing for cutting off a live webcast of the Hugo science fiction book awards ceremony over the weekend. It happened when a clip from a Doctor Who episode written by Neil Gaiman was played before Gaiman’s speech. The awards ceremony had permission to play the clip but when UStream’s system detected a copyright violation it automatically shut down the webcast.

Craig on CBS
Craig will be appearing at the Paley Center in New York on October 4th, where he will be interviewed by Dave Itzkoff of the New York Times. While the main room is sold out, tickets to see the conversation live on closed-circuit television at the Center are still available. Back on May 10th, Craig appeared for a similar event at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills, where he talked about his relationship with CBS.
