X-Men Meet Downton Abbey
Craig Ferguson is keeping up the theme of his tweets from two weeks ago, when he opined about the virtues of Hellboy, the X-Men, Downton Abbey and Grey Poupon commercials.  On Saturday evening, hes imagined them all coming together:

Just seen XMen 1st Class for the first time. I loved it when the mutants moved into Downton Abbey. #mrBatesisWolverine #justashairy

And speaking of hairy, Craig’s tweets on Sunday morning reflected on pets and 70’s movie stars:

Ugh, I feel like Burt Reynolds – woke up covered in hair. My giant German Shepherd slept on top of my bed last night. So did my dog.  //  Hashtags missing from last tweet. #SeeWhatIDidThere #LeTitsNow

Craig also re-tweeted actor Christopher Gorham:

As you start your Sunday at home, think of those who’ve lost theirs and donate to @RedCross . #Tornadoes

As we mentioned on our front page, to help those affected by the tornadoes across the central US, you can make a donation to the Red Cross on their website or by texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make an instant $10 donation.

Scottish Press
The Scottish newspaper Herald Scotland is taking Craig to task for his comments about his home town of Cumbernauld. It’s a story he has told several times before, quoting a book in which the town has been described the “second worst” in Britain. It came up again because recent guest Jon Ronson’s wife is also from Cumbernauld. The paper quotes a local official who believed the characterization was unnecessarily harsh.

Brave Old World
As The Hollywood Reporter explains, the folks at Disney/Pixar are partnering with Visit Scotland, the country’s national tourist agency, to promote travel inspired by this summer’s release of the film Brave. Scottish tourist authorities believe the film, which features the voice talents of Craig Ferguson and other notable Scots, will be one of the biggest boons to the tourist industry in decades.

Alex the Intern
Alex the LLS intern is also starring in an independent film called Good Knight.
