New Places to Take the Show?
Earlier this week, we looked back at Craig Ferguson‘s stand up comedy tour over the past couple of years.  We recapped where he has performed and came up with a few suggestions for new places he might try.  Since we were in a brainstorming mood, we wondered:  Now that Craig has taken the show on the road to Paris for a week, where else should he think about doing a week of episodes?  We hope that somewhere, deep the inner sanctum of CBS Television City, there have been discussions about taking the show out of Los Angeles again sometime.

1.  He remembers his time in New York fondly, so that might be a place to go… but hopefully on the street, Paris-style rather than in a theater.

2.  Other big cities could be fun:  Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, Denver or Washington, DC.  How about Cleveland and invite Drew Carey along?

3.  We also think it would be interesting to do shows in a more remote place in America.  Perhaps in Reno, since he pokes fun at them and the set backdrop.  Or a quiet town in North Dakota or Arkansas.

4.  Because Craig is now on Global TV in Canada, he could have a blast in Montreal; perhaps in the same week as the comedy festival.

5.  Because he’s also on television every night in Australia, how about a week down under?

6.  And finally, how incredible would it be for Craig to take us home to Scotland?  He could tell its stories like no one else… and would probably need a week for Glasgow alone!

What do you think?  Are there other places Craig could take the show on the road?  Let us know in the comments below.

Prematurely Crazy?
The Huffington Post lists “Cleveland Rocks” from the Drew Carey Show as one of its favorite must listen-to theme songs of all time.  They mention how some of the cast have gone on to other projects, including Craig.

The Wright Man for the Job

The website AVClub.com interviews comedian Steven Wright, who has nice things to say about Craig.  Thanks to the RSA’s @MissGraoully for the link. Wright will be on the show next Tuesday, October 11th.

Tonight’s Guests
Wednesday on the Late Late Show, Craig has fun with TV host/comedian/actor Joel McHale and we’ll hear a performance by singer Elizabeth Cook.  Craig tweeted:

My pal the spunky and adorable @joelmchale is on the show tonight.  I hope he wears his signature clear heels.

Thursday, Craig chats with actress Evangeline Lilly and biologist Dan Riskin.

We note with sadness the passing of Steve Jobs, Chairman of the Board of Apple. In a time when many Americans are distrustful and angry with the leaders of some of the country’s corporate business executives, Jobs showed that it was possible to run a company not only to make money but to find make products with quality that customers wanted, to demand excellence and to lead with grace. Like many of you, we use Apple products every single day. Maybe some of that loyalty comes from watching a person who would lead a business of such size and scope, while doing so with character and honor. As one writer put it today, “Jobs leaves behind his wife, four children, two sisters, and 49,000 Apple employees.”
