Crikey Dingo
Loyal Australian skelly @timlogan62 recently ventured to the U.S. to see Craig at a taping of The Late Late Show. In the end (spoiler alert), he did not succeed in getting a ticket, but apart from a few “tutsi fruitsies,” he took it rather well, and has invited Craig to tour Australia. Thank you for sharing your story, Tim, and we hope you get a chance to see Craig in person down the road. In the meantime, Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! (Oi, Oi, Oi!)
Letterman and Corden
Recently, David Letterman invited future Late Late Show host James Corden to be a guest on The Late Show. A reviewer for MediaPost.com enjoyed watching the visit and says nice things about both host and guest.
He Filled the Bill
Longtime New York Times TV reporter Bill Carter has decided to take a buyout offer to leave the paper, one of many journalists affected by staff reductions. He told the Huffington Post that he’s not retiring from the business and will be looking for new opportunities. Carter has been the leading journalist reporting on late-night television for his 25 years at the times and at the Baltimore Sun before that. His books about the hosts of The Tonight Show are considered the best accounts of the struggles between David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien and NBC. He has also written several nice things about Craig over the years. We wish him the best as he moves to his next chapter.
Tough Clues
On Celebrity Name Game, John Belushi‘s name is hard to say, and Long John Silver may be a pirate. Or a sandwich maker.
