Craig Heads Back to LA
After a pair of stand up comedy performances in Atlantic City and the Chicago area, Craig Ferguson is heading back to LA for a week of fresh, new episodes of the Late Late Show. Up next for live appearances are Toronto, Montreal and Boston at the end of July and two shows in Minnesota in September. We’ve heard of no other bookings after the Minnesota shows and it is possible that Craig will be slowing down with live shows for a while. Book early to avoid disappointment on our Live Comedy Tour page.

After Friday night’s performance in Atlantic City, Craig retweeted a fan’s appreciation and thanked the audience:

RT @JP_Mobday: @CraigyFerg Killer show tonight!!! You were hilariously humorous. Thanks for the laughs! :). Thanks. You were a fab crowd.

And from all of the flailing and squeeing we can see on the tweety box, it looks like roboskellies have been having a good time in Chicago as well.

Rebecca Heads Home
Since leaving for Paris, Rebecca Tucker hasn’t been back to Los Angeles until late Saturday night. Welcome home!

after 31 days on the road, tonight I finally get to sleep in my own bed. Im celebrating with jumbo chilicheese dog at portillos in chicago.

Just For Laughs
Craig’s shows in Toronto and Boston will be his solo show.  But in Montreal, Craig will be hosting two shows featuring comedians from around the world.  The Press-Republican newspaper of Plattsburg, NY has an article about the upcoming Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. Thanks to the RSA’s @MissGraoully for sending us the link.  If it looks familiar, this was the story we accidentally posted for a few minutes on Thursday evening.  Please enjoy it in its entirety now.

More Pooh For You
More clips are surfacing from the new Disney animated feature film Winnie The Pooh, which opens Friday in the US and Canada. Take a look at this compilation of highlights, which includes more of Craig’s role as Owl.

A Loyal Craig Fan Passes Away
We are sad to report the passing of a Craig Ferguson fan and member of the RSA.  Raymond Murphy, better known from our comments section and to his many fans on the radio in Mobile, Alabama as Charlie Ocean died Wednesday at age 55.  You can read more about him in his complete obituary.  A memorial service was held for him Saturday afternoon.  We extend our sympathies to his family and many friends.

Craig Heads for Chicago
Craig Ferguson appeared Friday night in Atlantic City and is playing the Chicago area Saturday, performing his stand up comedy show at the Horseshoe Casino in nearby Hammond, Indiana, just over the Illinois border.  The Chicago Tribune has a quick preview. Later this month, Craig will appear in Toronto, Montreal and Boston. See the complete list on our Live Comedy Tour page.

It features the voices of Jim Cummings (who will be a guest on the Late Late Show next week), Monty Python favorite John Cleese, SpongeBob SquarePants himself Tom Kenny and of course, Craig Ferguson as Owl. The RSA’s @SexyCraigFerg found a great behind the scenes feature about the film. Take a look:

This time it’s the RSA’s @GlitteryGirrll who made a rainbow/pride scarf for Geoff. She’s sending to the Late Late Show in the hope that Geoff might wear it sometime. Looks like a great way to keep his bones warm!

Adam and Craig on Telling the Truth
The folks at AOL’s TV Replay caught Craig’s conversation with Adam Savage, pondering telling their wives about something they’ve done, before getting caught.

May Your Pants Be With You
The RSA’s @doxieone1 wondered what it would be like if Geoff Petersen had different origins, in a galaxy far, far away, so she came up with a poster to try it out.  Is that a light saber #inyourpants?

Hobo Robot Clay Figures
We wanted to show you more of the RSA’s @hoborobot‘s great works of art in clay.  In addition to Lord Macintosh, she has created all kinds of Late Late Show favorites including Geoff, Wavy, Kronos, Brian, Sid and Secretariat, as well as many others than can be used as Christmas tree ornaments or magnets.  Thanks for all of the great pictures!

Craig Ferguson is always on the go.  Today in Los Angeles, he had an interesting experience:

Actual exchange in store today Me:(with infant in stroller) Can you tell me where the elevator is please? Store Dude: It’s upstairs. #jeez

Good thing it wasn’t a Starbuck’s. The elevator would probably be behind the jazz CD’s.

http://yfrog.com/gzu6dnbj Found this picture on my phone from the Paris trip. Actually LOL’d as the kids say. #manthatisonehappygayrobot

Lord Macintosh
The RSA’s @Hoborobot rendered a clay version of Craig’s character, Lord Macintosh, in the upcoming animated movie Brave.  It looks great! (This version corrects the name of the RSA member who did the work. Thanks to alert skellies for helping us make the correction.)

Winnie The Pooh Soundtrack
The soundtrack to Disney’s Winnie The Pooh will be released next week on Tuesday, July 12th.  For brief previews of two songs, check out Disney’s music site.  The film opens across the US and Canada on Friday, July 15th.

A Knitted Skeleton?
The RSA’s @doxieone1 found a picture online of a skeleton completely made of yarn, hand-knitted together by the artist. Now that takes some skill and patience!

Lynn Ferguson Departs LLS
Craig’s sister, producer/actress/comedienne Lynn Ferguson has been on the writing staff of the Late Late Show for the past couple of years but on Monday, she announced she’s leaving the show to concentrate on her other projects.

So, esp for Independence day, I have left the LLS. Loved it LOADS but it be time to adventure into the strange ways of this here countreeee //Apparently Craig still has to be my brother tho 🙂

Just last week, she mentioned that she has obtained her green card and has begun the steps necessary to obtain US citizenship.  In Los Angeles and other US cities, she has performed and produced some of the one-woman shows she debuted at the Edinburgh Festival to good reviews.  We wish her well as she expands her horizons in America.

Check out the website and logo of the specialty maker BagpipeCovers.com. Could their dancing mascot be a friend of Geoff Petersen? Thanks to Linda for spotting it.

Tonight’s Guests-Correction
Monday on the Late Late Show, it’s a rebroadcast of the April 6th episode with actress Ellen Page and comedian Marc Maron.  (We had mistakenly listed this as a new episode in an earlier edition.)  On Tuesday, all new episodes return and Craig’s guests will be comedian Stephen Wright, actress Ellie Kemper, and from the Mythbusters, Adam Savage.

On Monday, Craig tweeted:

Happy 4th of July everybody.

We hope all of our readers had a happy and safe holiday weekend.

The second photo was taken on Park Avenue. The RSA’s @NancyInTampa found the story behind it at the Christie’s auction house website.

Double Entendres Affect the Brain
The RSA”s @bgrhubarb spotted an article on ScienceNews.org that talks about a study, showing puns and double entendres have a positive, stimulative affect on wide areas of the brain, including areas that have to do with rewards.  We know how rewarding Craig’s wordplay can be!

Paris is Hot
In an article making its way around the Canadian press this weekend, the author talks about how Paris has been a popular place for television and films lately, and mentions Craig’s week of taping.

Geoff in Politics?
The RSA’s @doxieone1 recalled a phrase used by perennial presidential candidate and comedian Pat Paulsen to come up with a campaign poster for Geoff Petersen.  The elections are only a year and half away!

Craig on Independence Day
By popular demand (and @bgrhubarb’s tireless devotion to it) how could we not post Craig’s 2008 Independence Day speech in Boston?  He speaks for only a few minutes but its impact lasts much longer.  As if you needed another reason to believe Craig is a great and special human being, this is surely one:
