Blast From The Past British comedian Danny Baker came across a photo featuring Craig and tweeted it to him on Saturday morning. The picture was taken in 1994, on the set of a short-lived BBC game show called Bygones.  Baker hosted. Rick Wakeman, an English musician best know as the keyboardist for the band Yes, was captain of one three-person team and Craig was captain of the other. The game centered around nostalgia, hence the “Bygones” name. Over the course of four rounds, the teams would make guesses about old products, film clips, songs and celebrities.  The reason the head of 1940’s bandleader Ted Heath is in the photo is because in one round of the game, the teams were shown waxwork heads of celebrities from the past and earned points if they guessed their identity correctly. The game show ran for just a single series of five episodes in the spring of 1994. Our thanks to to UKGameShows.com for details about the show, several skellies for retweeting Baker’s tweet and drawing it to our attention:

@CraigyFerg Found this Craig. Me in middle. You billed just under dismembered Ted Heath. *sigh* You had such promise… http://i.imgur.com/rP6JQ.jpg

Wearing the Colors For Craig’s two shows at the University of Rochester’s alumni weekend event on Friday, Craig ditched the sport coat for the school colors. Thanks to the RSA’s @GibsonChick777 for capturing the front-row photo on Friday night. Meanwhile, Craig was tweeting from the road on Saturday, not quite sure what to make of the quote on his coffee cup:

I’m not sure this is a great idea. pic.twitter.com/OUlTsZLY

A Few More for the Road As the October leg of Craig Ferguson‘s Live Comedy Tour comes to a close in Connecticut, he’ll be heading back to Los Angeles for about a month of fresh, new episodes of the Late Late Show. Then, his attention turns to a few more stand up dates in November. On November 10th, Craig will perform at a special fundraising event benefiting the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation in Denver, where all of the single tickets are already sold out. He’ll then get a one-day warm-up at the Chicago Theater on November 15th before flying to Washington, DC for two shows November 16th at the Warner Theatre. Those two shows are scheduled to be taped to form Craig’s new stand up comedy special, which should be available in the spring, first on cable television and later on DVD. We’ll have more details as they are announced. October Birthdays

Lillian Gish

Saturday, October 13th is the birthday of singer/songwriter Paul Simon, musician Sammy Hagar, singer/TV host Marie Osmond and actress Kate Walsh. Sunday, October 14th is the birthday of actress Lillian Gish, poet E E Cummings, actor Roger Moore and actor Harry Anderson.  Before he became known as Judge Harold T. Stone on the sitcom Night Court, Harry Anderson was a stand up comedian and magician. Here he is performing a classic routine to perfection: Video courtesy: MyyyClips
