Brave World Premiere
The world premiere of the Disney/Pixar animated feature film Brave is being held in at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood Monday evening. Along with being the movie’s first official screening, it is a marquee event in this year’s Los Angeles Film Festival, the debut of the Dolby Theatre under its new name, and it becomes the first film to be shown using Dolby’s new “Atmos” theater sound system. Many of the film’s stars made the trip to the “red carpet” event which was actually held on a green carpet. We’ve already seen some photos coming in and we’ll post more of them here as they arrive.

Our thanks to AMC Theatres for live-tweeting photos from the premiere.

Alex Salmond
As Scotland’s Daily Record reported, Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond is attending the Brave premiere, with the hopes that it will spark tourism in the country where the film is based. Salmond also appears on Monday’s Late Late Show to answer tweets and emails with Craig, who tweeted earlier in the day:

Scottish First Minister @AlexSalmond on my show tonight to answer any questions you may have about Scotland. #exceptdirtyones #I’llaskthose

Meanwhile, Scotland’s tourism agency, Visit Scotland, has launched a worldwide campaign to coincide with the film’s debut, including a new video touting Scotland as the place “where legends come to life.” The website also includes details of a contest to win a trip to Scotland.

And next week, the previously bumped singer Brandi Carlile and comedian Matt Kirshen have both been put back on the schedule. You can see the full and up-to-date listings on our Guests page.

Monday was Sir Paul McCartney‘s 70th birthday. Do we have a picture of Paul McCartney?
